Event Info

One Day. Multiple Record Stores. One Continuous Vinyl Circuit.

The Rocky Mountain Record Crawl is a guided bus circuit connecting independent record stores across the Front Range into a single, moving vinyl experience.

This is not a single-location event. It’s a continuous loop system designed for exploration, flexibility, and discovery across multiple stores in one day.

How the Bus System Works

The Crawl operates on a continuous loop of buses connecting all participating stores.

🔁 Important: You are not tied to one bus or one route

You are not required to stay on a single bus, and you are not limited in how long you stay at any stop.

You can:

  • Hop off at any store

  • Stay as long or as short as you like

  • Rejoin the circuit on any passing bus

  • Be dropped off by one bus and picked up by another

We recommend planning your route, but the system is designed to stay flexible throughout the day.

Event Schedule

  • Check-in begins: 11:00 AM (check in where you purchased tickets)

  • Buses begin departing: ~12:00 PM  – 1:00 PM

  • Bus service runs: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Bus Timing & Frequency

  • Buses arrive at each location approximately every 15–30 minutes

  • Each stop has a brief loading/unloading window (around 15 minutes per arrival)

  • The full loop takes approximately 1+ hour to complete

This creates a constant flow of movement between all participating stores.

What to Expect at Each Stop

Each record store is an active part of the Crawl experience and will feature something unique, including:

Exclusive Crawl Offerings

Each store will feature curated selections and items specifically set aside for Crawl participants.

Promo Items

Every stop provides a unique collectible or promotional item available only during the event.

Optional In-Store Activations

Some locations may include:

  • DJ sets

  • live music

  • educational talks or short presentations

Recommended Experience Flow

While you are free to explore at your own pace, we recommend:

  • Hopping off at each stop at least briefly

  • Collecting that store’s promo item

  • Browsing their exclusive crawl bins and featured selections

Each stop is designed to reward quick exploration, but deeper digging is always encouraged if time allows.

Key Things to Know

  • You are not guaranteed to end where you started

  • The buses operate in a continuous loop system

  • You can rejoin at any stop throughout the day

  • Each store visit is part of a larger circulating experience

The Experience

The Rocky Mountain Record Crawl is designed to feel like a moving record store festival, where each stop offers a different window into Colorado’s vinyl culture.

It’s not about completing a route—it’s about discovering what you find along the way.

FAQs

How will I show that I’ve paid?
You will check in at the store where you purchased your tickets starting at 11:00 AM and receive a wristband. All crawlers must wear a valid wristband to ride the bus and access store-specific promos. You may start at any participating store, but your ticket must match your selected starting location.

How will I know where to get on the bus?
All participating stores will have a designated area for bus pickup and drop-off. A representative will be on-site at each store to direct you and let you know exactly where to go.

How long is there between each bus?
The bus loop runs continuously from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A full loop will take over 1 hour. You are not tied to a specific bus and may ride as you choose throughout the event. You are not guaranteed to end where you started, so plan your stops accordingly. Timing may vary slightly due to traffic and location, but buses are scheduled to keep the crawl moving steadily.

Why isn’t my favorite store participating?
We invited a lot of great shops, but not everyone could join us for the first run. The Crawl is designed to grow over time, so you may see different stores on future routes. For now, we’re excited about the lineup we’ve built and what each stop is bringing to the day.

Can I leave my car at the store while on the crawl?
Parking varies by location. Downtown and suburban stores may have different parking availability and restrictions. Please contact your starting store in advance to confirm parking details or address any concerns. Remember, it is not guaranteed you will end your crawl where you started. It's up to you to plan your stops accordingly. The full loop will take 1+ hour to complete and the busses will run for 5 total hours.

Can I bring a backpack or purse?
Small bags like purses and tote bags are generally allowed. Most stores do not allow large backpacks or may require them to be checked at entry, so plan accordingly. Please be mindful of space and other guests throughout the event.

Are food or drinks included?
Food and drinks are not provided. However, participating stores may offer light snacks or beverages depending on location. Additional food or drink options may be available for purchase at select stops.

Can I bring my pet?
Pets are not permitted on buses or inside participating stores, with the exception of certified service animals.

Can I show up at any time?
Check-in begins at 11:00 AM at all participating stores. You may arrive at your selected starting location any time it is open. You may arrive early or late at your discretion, if you miss the first bus departure another one will be coming shortly behind it. Bus operations run independently of arrival time, and you are not tied to a specific bus. All stores are open to the public during the event, but a valid ticket and wristband are required to ride the bus and access event promotions.

Can I leave things on the bus?
No. Please do not leave items on the buses, as they will be departing shortly after drop-off. Buses operate continuously on a loop and do not wait for passengers. One bus will drop off while another arrives to pick up, so you will be transferring between buses throughout the event.

Is the event accessible?
We’ll work to provide reasonable accommodations where possible. If you have accessibility needs, please contact us in advance.

What are the age requirements?
Crawlers must be 18+ or accompanied by a legal guardian. All crawlers ages 4 and up are required to have a paid ticket and wristband to ride the bus and receive crawl exclusives.
